Names & Details

Please review that all names and information is correct and as it appears on your travel documents / Passport. Any name changes are considered as cancellation. It is, therefore, utmost important that you have correct names as in the passport at the time of confirming your booking.

If your name has changed since your document was issued (e.g., marriage/divorce), it is required that you update the document with the new name or provide an official supporting document of the name change. Otherwise, it may result in delay or possible denial of boarding.

Passport & Visa:

Passports must be valid for at least six months after the completion of the trip. Visas are required for all cruises. There are no ship visas. Travel Agents / Travelers’ are responsible for obtaining the necessary visas for Embarkation port and each ports of call. Embarkation will be denied if the correct visas for all ports have not been obtained. Information can be obtained from the local embassy or government organizations.

Online Check-in:

In order to minimize the number of forms you will have to complete at the pier, please complete the online check-in no later than 3 days prior to your cruise. Log on to http://www.celebritycruises.com and fill out pre-cruise documents online. To complete this form you will need, the reservation information, the appropriate documentation (e.g., passport) for each person travelling. The information provided must be exactly as in the passport.

Embarkation / Disembarkation:

Please make sure that you arrive to the pier at least 3 hours before the scheduled sailing time and allow at least 3 hours to disembark the ship at the end of the cruise.

Insurance:

We strongly recommend that you have adequate insurance for medical, baggage and trip cancellation and interruption or delay protection.

ASSIST-CARD is a traveler’s assistance organization. ASSIST CARD services helps the guests in any unexpected event during their trip, Medical assistance for accident or illness, urgent odontology, legal assistant, location of lost luggage and insurance. On board service charges / Gratuities:

It is customary to offer tips to staff members who you feel have given you good service and personal attention. We do offer the option to pre-pay your on board tips in advance of your holiday. These gratuities apply to guests of all ages. Gratuities for other service personnel are at your discretion. If you wish to decline this service, you must do so at the time of booking and tips will be payable in US Dollars on board.

A standard gratuity of 18% is automatically added to the price of drinks from the cocktail lounges, bars and beauty treatments.

6 nights and longer sailings:

89 – 60 days prior to sailing $70 per person
59 – 45 days prior to sailing Full Deposit amount
44 – 30 days prior to sailing 25% of the total price (taxes/fees excluded)
29 – 8 days prior to sailing 50% of the total price (taxes/fees excluded)
7 or less days prior to sailing 100% of total price (taxes/fees excluded)

Cancellation Penalties for Christmas and New Year sailings:

Cancellation requests must be sent in writing and on a working day.

Up to 5 nights sailings:

89 – 60 days prior to sailing Full Deposit Amount ( 6 – 8 N $250)
59 – 45 days prior to sailing 25% of the total price (taxes/fees excluded)
44 – 30 days prior to sailing 50% of the total price (taxes/fees excluded)

14 or less days prior to sailing 100% of total price (taxes/fees excluded)

6 nights and longer sailings:

The guests are requested to take necessary insurance in order to cover any last minute cancellations as Celebrity Cruises will not consider waiver of the cancellation penalties under any circumstance.

Dining:

The guests are currently confirmed for Main / Second Dining. While we will make every effort to accommodate their request up to the day of sailing, second seating may not be available due to high demand. Alternate casual dining and 24 hours room service is available on all our ships. Room service is complimentary all the time except between 12 pm midnight and 0500 A.M.

Celebrity Select Dining: If you choose Celebrity Select Dining, you will still be seated in the ship’s main restaurant, order from the same dinner menu, and enjoy the same exemplary service, but with more flexibility of timing. Choose this option when booking your cruise and you can make reservations day by day pre-cruise, reserve once onboard, or simply come to the dining room whenever you’d like to have dinner.

Celebrity Select Main Dining reservations can be made online up to four days prior to sailing, or once onboard with the Maitre d’. Subject to availability. Gratuities must be prepaid in order to participate in Select Dining. Only groups of 20 or less can be seated at one time.

Celebrity Cruises is happy to accommodate many different kinds of dietary needs including vegetarian, kosher, no-sugar-added desserts, food allergies and other dietary needs.

Minor Policy / Age Restrictions:

Sailing embarking in South America, Europe, Asia, Australia, and New Zealand (outside USA/Puerto Rico and Canada):
No guest under the age of 18 will be booked in a stateroom unless accompanied by an adult 18 years or older. The adult 18 years or older does not have to be a parent or guardian. (Connecting staterooms are counted as different staterooms for this policy)

Sailing embarking in the USA (Including Puerto Rico) and Canada:
No guest under the age of 21 will be booked in a stateroom unless accompanied by an adult 21 years or older. The adult 21 years or older does not have to be a parent or guardian. (Connecting staterooms are counted as different staterooms for this policy).

This age limit will be waived for children sailing with their parents or guardians in connecting staterooms; for underage married couples; and for active duty members of the United States or Canadian military. Certain other restrictions and conditions will apply; such as compliance with the age twenty-one (21) alcohol policy, and proof of marriage for underage couples or proof of active duty military status required.

Underage married couples. “Proof of marriage” is required at pier check-in. The “proof of marriage” is the document the guest will receive from the official presiding at the ceremony; the critical component of the document is that it be notarized with the signature of the official. This should be in English.

Adults who are not the parent or legal guardian of any minor child traveling with them are required to present the child’s valid passport and applicable visa (or certified copy of the child’s birth certificate) and an original affirmed or notarized letter signed by at least one of the child’s parents/legal guardians. The notarized letter must authorize the traveling adult to take the minor/s on the specified cruise and must authorize the traveling adult to supervise the child and permit any medical treatment that must be administered to the child which in the opinion of the treating doctor needs to be carried out without delay.

A letter can be affirmed or notarized by any solicitor, notary or commissioner for oaths. If such evidence is not produced, the minor(s) concerned will not be permitted to board the ship or undertake the cruise. To appear at Guest Services with his or her parent or guardian and to present a government issued form of identification to establish that the guest’s 21st birthday was celebrated during the cruise.

Infant Policy:

Infants sailing on a cruise must be at least 6 months old as of the first day of the cruise and/or Cruise Tour. However, For transatlantic, transpacific, Hawaii, select South American and other selected cruises and/or Cruise Tours, the infant must be at least 12 months old as of the first day of the cruise/Cruise Tour. For the purposes of this policy, any cruise that has 3 or more days consecutive at sea will require infants to be 12 months old on the first day of the cruise/Cruise Tour.

Please be aware that guests travelling with a young infant that does not meet the infant policy will be denied boarding. No refunds or other compensation shall be due from the cruise line to anyone as a result of the denial of boarding to an under aged infant or other accompanying guests. Celebrity Cruises reserves the right to ask for proof of age.

Pregnancy Policy:

Celebrity Cruises cannot accept guests who will have entered their 24th week of pregnancy by the beginning of, or at any time during, the cruise or cruise tour. A physician’s “Fit to Travel” note is required prior to sailing, stating how far along (in weeks) the guest’s pregnancy will be at the beginning of the cruise and confirming that the guest is in good health and not experiencing a high-risk pregnancy.

Smoking Policy:

Cigarette, cigar, e-cigarette and pipe smoking is permitted in designated outdoor areas of the starboard side of all ships. To assist in locating areas where smoking is permitted, guests will find visible signage posted within all smoking areas and ashtrays that are provided for use. Outdoor areas near restricted areas, food venues, and kids play areas and pools will not allow smoking.

Smoking is not permitted in any dining venue, theater, bar, lounge, hallway, elevator, and jogging track. Casino allows smoking and has a designated area for non-smoking guests. There will be visible signage indicating the non-smoking area in the casino. There are select cruises departing from China that will not have a non-smoking area in the casino.

Smoking is not permitted inside any stateroom and any stateroom balcony. This applies to all stateroom categories onboard. If a guest is in violation of this stateroom policy, a cleaning fee of $250 USD will be applied to their SeaPass® account and may be subject to further action pursuant to the “Consequences Section” of the Guest Conduct Policy.

Cigarettes, cigars and pipe tobacco must be properly disposed of and never thrown overboard. Cigar and pipe tobacco is limited to designated outdoor areas and Cigar Bars. You must be at least 18 years of age to purchase, possess or use tobacco onboard.

Electronic cigarettes or e-cigarettes are only permitted within the designated smoking areas. Guests who violate this smoking policy may be subject to further action pursuant to the “Consequences Section” of this Guest Conduct Policy.
